Our Story
Get to Know Us
We got into the coffee business to supply premium coffee to our catering clients. Then word got out. Two years later, we’ve sold out every quarter.
Now, for the first time, on July 14, 2025, we’re opening up to a select group of non-catering coffee lovers. Contact us here to get on the list.
Welcome to Native Coffee.
It is worth noting, Native coffee trade (or Caffeinated Drinks) stretches back over a thousand years ago.

American History Is Our Legacy
During the harsh winter of 1777-1778 at Valley Forge, it was the Oneida Nation—one of the Six Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy—that heroically aided George Washington's starving Continental Army. The Oneidas were the only Haudenosaunee nation to openly side with the American revolutionaries, a decision that set them apart from their neighboring tribes.
A group of Oneida warriors, led by Chief Skenandoah (also known as Shenandoah), traveled over 200 miles from their homelands in central New York to Valley Forge, carrying several hundred bushels of white corn and coffee, to feed and nourish the desperate soldiers. The corn and coffee were a critical lifeline, as the army was suffering from severe food shortages and malnutrition. The journey was arduous, and the Oneidas' arrival at the encampment was met with both relief and gratitude.
Oneida woman Polly Cooper played a particularly pivotal role. She not only helped deliver the corn but also stayed behind after the other Oneidas returned home, teaching the soldiers how to properly cook the white corn, and brew coffee—a vital step, as eating corn raw could have made them ill. Polly Cooper also nursed sick soldiers and refused any payment for her services, accepting only a bonnet and shawl from Martha Washington as a token of thanks.
The Oneidas' assistance at Valley Forge is remembered as an act of heroism and generosity that helped sustain Washington's army through its darkest moment, forging a lasting bond between the Oneida Nation and the United States.
Our coffee and food journey carries on that same tradition of humble service to people and the country!

A Little About The Coffee Beans
From Bean Belt to Brew: Why Origin Matters in Every Cup
Coffee’s journey starts thousands of miles before it hits your cup — often in mountainous regions near the equator, within what’s known as the “Bean Belt”. This global zone, stretching between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, is home to the most fertile environments for growing high-quality coffee.
For our catering clients we celebrate these regions not just for their geography but for the stories and flavors they bring to life. We provide some of the best coffee in the world through farmers we know.
Our year-round coffee program features carefully selected beans from Mexico, a country that has quietly earned its place among the world’s top coffee producers.
We deploy rotating seasonals beans from Mexico, Africa, South and Central America, and the Pacific Rim enrich our offerings and reflect the unique character of each harvest.
☕ Our Core: Mexican Coffee
Mexico often flies under the radar, but it consistently delivers clean, comforting, and subtly complex coffees. We source primarily from smallholder farms in:
-
Chiapas: Known for altitude-grown beans with nutty sweetness, soft citrus acidity, and notes of chocolate.
-
Oaxaca: Offers floral-fruity aromas and balanced profiles, including the celebrated Pluma Hidalgo variety.
-
Veracruz: Produces smooth coffees with moderate acidity and refined notes of nuts and flowers.
-
Puebla: A quieter contributor but still offers well-rounded beans, often used in blends.
Mexican coffee is also a leader in organic and fair-trade practices, aligning with our commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing.
🌍 Our Seasonal Origins
To complement our Mexican base, we bring in rotating seasonal coffees that highlight the diversity of the global coffee landscape. Each region has a moment to shine throughout the year, depending on the harvest cycles:

📅 Why Seasonal Sourcing?
We believe the best coffee tells the story of time and place. Just like produce, coffee is at its peak shortly after harvest. By embracing seasonal sourcing, we can:
-
Showcase fresh crop quality at its best
-
Introduce new and exciting flavor profiles throughout the year
-
Support a wide network of smallholder farmers globally
Whether you gravitate toward the chocolatey sweetness of a Chiapas pour-over or the berry-bomb brilliance of a Kenyan single origin, our menu is a rotating map of the world’s best coffee regions — brought together with care, intention, and flavor in mind.
